Venus is the second planet from the Sun. A terrestrial planet made of mostly rocks and metals. Venus is covered by a layer of clouds that trap the Sun's heat, making the surface one the hottest places in the Solar System. The rotation of Venus is "retrograde" which means that it spins in the opposite direction of most other planets.
