Solarsystem

The nine planets move around the Sun, known collectively as the solar system.

The planets are space objects that appear in The Zula Patrol. They have faces, personalities, voices, and they are often shown interacting with the Zula Patrol. While not technically main characters, the planets tend to play key roles in episodes such as "Earth Hunt", "Small is Beautiful", and "A Tale of Two Planets". The fictional planet Zula is where the Zula Patrol set their headquarters.

General information[]

Characters[]

Mercury is the first/closest planet from the Sun, and second-smallest. He appears in some episodes such as "Earth Hunt" and "The Outsider". Mercury speaks with a New Jersey accent. He is named after the Roman god of travel and message.

Venus is the second planet and talks in a South-Atlantic accent. She is known as Earth's "sister planet" or "twin" as they generally very similar in size. Venus appears in episodes like "Moon Mayhem" and "Small is Beautiful". She is named after the Roman goddess of love and beauty.

Earth is third planet fand orbits within the "Goldilocks zone", making her the only planet to have life. She has a distinctively tomboyish voice. Earth appears in several episodes such as "Family Feud", "Earth Hunt", "Small is Beautiful" and "Take Me to Your Ferret". She is the only planet not to be named after a Roman god or goddess.

Mars is the fourth planet from the Sun. He appears in some episodes such as "Club Mars" and "Small is Beautiful". He is known for his rusty orange color, and boasts having the highest volcano in the solar system. In "Club Mars", he is shown to be blunt, sarcastic and irritable to where he even punishes Dark Truder via freezing his ship and blowing him away after calling him "second-rate". Mars is named after the Roman god of war.

Jupiter is the fifth planet and the first of the Jovians (gas giants). He is the largest planet, known for his winds and Great Red Spot. Jupiter appears in episodes like "Small is Beautiful", "Earth Hunt" and "The Case of the Missing Rings". He is named after the king of the Roman gods.

Saturn is the sixth planet and talks with a British accent. His most defining trait is his rings made from ice, dust, and rock. Saturn appears in several episodes such as "Earth Hunt", "Small is Beautiful" and "Moon Mayhem". He is named after the Roman god of agriculture and wealth.

Uranus is the seventh planet. He makes very few major appearances, such as in "Small is Beautiful" and "The Case of the Missing Rings", with most of his other appearances being cameos. He is described as a "cool guy" as he can be seen wearing a beret or sunshades. He is named after the Greek god of heaven.

Neptune is the eighth planet. Like Uranus, he often only makes cameo appearances. Although Neptune was a major character in "A Tale of Two Planets", in which Dark Truder persuaded him to join his own planetary system. He is named after the Roman god of the sea.

Pluto is the only dwarf planet in the solar system. Despite his size he has a big heart, and a moon sidekick named Charon, who sees him as a close friend. He appeared in "The Outsider", "Small is Beautiful" and "The Case of the Missing Rings". He is named after the Roman god of the dead.

In "Dog Gone Gorga" Multo states a way to remember the order of the planets with his technique: "Multo's Very Easy Method Just Stops Us Naming Planets." Wizzy recites this later in the episode.
